A Special Notice to my Readers

I am beginning of a series of posts dealing with the ethical standards we fundraisers and nonprofit professionals are supposed to abide by in our work with donors.  They will not be in any particular order, but my plan is to address each tenet set forth in the AFP Code of Ethical Principles and Standards.  My goal is to encourage each of you (and myself) to think carefully about what we do before we do it, ensuring that our practices are best for our donors and our organizations.

I promise you that I will not name individuals or organizations to publicly shame them, but I may publicly praise them as an example of ethical behavior.
